Energy support for all
Homeostasis is a term that refers to your body’s tendency toward equilibrium across physiological systems. Ongoing stress, however, can undermine your body’s ability to maintain homeostasis. Asian Energy Boost combines the Asian fungi Cordyceps and a specially fermented form of the Panax ginseng root to deliver energy support.
Clinically studied results
One of the most valued medicinal mushrooms in China, Cordyceps has been used traditionally as a tonic with multiple benefits, including support for energy and endurance. Studies show that the cordyceps in Asian Energy Boost supports energy levels, positive mood, exercise endurance and stress resilience. In one study, healthy adults aged 50-75 years took 333 milligrams of cordyceps extract three times daily for 12 weeks. These study subjects were able to perform a stationary bicycle exercise at maximal levels for over 10% longer before muscle fatigue onset.
Animal research suggests cordyceps extract may support healthy lipid and glucose metabolism, maintain normal blood vessel dilation and promote a healthy insulin response. Normal insulin sensitivity enables your cells to efficiently take up sugar from your blood for stable energy output.
Cordyceps and its active constituents and metabolites have also demonstrated antioxidant and immune-modulating properties.
Panax ginseng (also known as red, Asian, Chinese or Korean ginseng) is a revered and widely used adaptogenic herb that may improve your ability to manage stress. Its traditional use as a general tonic against chronic disease is supported by evidence of its strong abilities to balance oxidative processes and regulate the stress response. Animal research suggests Panax ginseng extract can support positive mood by helping to regulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis responsible for stress responsiveness, balance hormone levels, preserve healthy levels of brain growth factors, as well as keep oxidative stress and neuro inflammation at bay. Other studies show ginseng may promote exercise endurance.
A growing body of research suggests compounds from ginseng called ginsenosides support healthy glucose metabolism and mitochondrial energy production. Studies also indicate ginseng and ginsenosides may support healthy neurological function.
For enhanced potency, Asian Energy Boost uses Panax ginseng that has been fermented, a process shown to support availability and absorption of the biologically active compound made from ginsenosides, Compound K. In a placebo-controlled trial with healthy men and women, taking a fermented ginseng supplement for 14 days promoted moderation of the exercise-induced stress response and supported healthy antioxidant activity in the body.
